She is ready to get back to school, the Physical Therapy Program at Creighton that is, and I'm ready to be done with school and get working in Blair. Lately I think I've been looking forward too much though. The more I look forward, the less I enjoy what I'm doing right now. So this week I've decided to try to enjoy work and school here 'cause who knows, this week could be some day's good ol days.
This week I was laying awake in bed one night thinking of funny words and the funniest one I could come up with was manhole. hehe..... Who would name the entrance to the sewer a manhole? Then I got to thinking that in our world which puts so much emphasis on politically correct terms and equal representation and so fourth, the term manhole probably won't last much longer. Soon manholes will all become person holes, and eventually they will all become sewer access points.
What is our world coming to....

3/4 Fake

Well it was really nice to see Ol' Reub (the beastmaster) and Elliot (frozen pizza) again. Man, it seems like a long time since we've been together. I was worried that things might be kinda weird getting back together, mostly because of the messy band breakup we went through (fully detailed in the documentary "The real fakers: looks and personality?") But we picked up right where we left off. I only wish dirty Jeff could have made it. Without him, we were only 3/4 fake. So to make the memory even happier, I have taken the picture of us outside of the Casey's deli and superimposed a picture of Jeff. He is the good looking one on the left. Man we had fun, (I also like to pretend we performed in 60 cities on a reunion tour) now that is a memory I won't be forgetting...

Back to it

I reckon I better get to bloggin or I'll fall way behind with people.
Well, the summer has been pretty basic. I finished with my summer semester at school, so I've got a couple of weeks off before I start back up again. Since I've had free time during the morning before work, I've been working for Adam Bonnema's dad grouting showers at Northwestern. Ah... good times...
The most exciting thing is that I have recently purchased my dream car. That's right, I am now the owner of a brand new 1988 Cavalier station wagon. I've been working on it the last few weekends, and so far I've taken off all of the plastic on the outside and taken out all of the glass and taken off the gas take and hooked it up where the back seat used to be. If all goes according to plan, I'll be crashing it into a bunch of other cars in a couple of weeks at the Hawarden demolition derby. I figured if Gaby and I move out of the area in the next year or so, I will have robbed myself of the full redneck experience if I haven't participated in at least one demolition derby. Ah... I feel good about myself.
Other than that, pretty standard here.
